18K & Silver Victorian Diamond & Sardonyx Cameo Horseshoe Pendant

A gorgeous Victorian c.1860-1880 cameo horseshoe pendant, modelled in 18k gold & silver.

It is such a unique piece, combining both a horseshoe and a carved sardonyx cameo that features the side profile of a beautiful lady. The horseshoe is set with intervals of rose cut diamonds approx. 0.35ctw by spread. It is European in origin, and sourced from France.

The horseshoe also has a gorgeous side profile, with not just normal prongs but a pierced gallery of floral vines & interlaced crowns which truly adds to the beauty of the piece.

It was a brooch that has been converted masterfully into a wearable pendant. We paired an inverted triangle bail to this piece that matches it perfectly.

It measures 26mm x 37.5mm with bail, 26mm x 29.5mm without bail, and weighs 6.63 grams.
