14K Dutch Victorian Diamond Floral Crescent Brooch
A gorgeous Dutch Victorian c.1850-1860 floral crescent brooch modelled in 14k gold and hallmarked.
The flower crescent features a tightly pinched collet set center rose cut diamond, approx. 1.00ct by spread, with further rose cut diamonds on the petals and crescent. In addition, there is another pinched collet set diamond pictured on the side of the brooch approx. 0.36ct, with a total weight of 2.05ctw by spread on the brooch. They are closed back and foiled.
The brooch has such a beautiful old world charm and is a wonderful example of Dutch antique jewellery, presented in excellent condition with all original components. It is hallmarked with the Dutch oak leaf hallmark for 14k gold, as well as maker's marks on the clasp. The brooch opens and closes well, and comes with an additional safety chain for added security.
The crescent measures 20.6mm x 19.8mm, and the brooch measures 40.8mm across. It weighs 6.02 grams.
