18K & Silver European Victorian Diamond, Amethyst & Citrine Crowned Double Heart Brooch

A stunning European Victorian c.1860-1880 crowned double heart brooch, modelled in 18k gold and silver, hallmarked.

It features double hearts set in amethyst 3.28ct on the left, and citrine 3.28ct on the right, joined together by a diamond bow with flowers. It represents the union and coming together of two hearts, sealed by love represented by the bow. The hearts are further surrounded by sparkling rose cut diamonds 2.46ct by spread, with a total weight of 9.02ctw.

It is hallmarked with 750 for 18k gold and maker's mark on the brooch pin. The brooch opens and closes well and is in excellent condition.

This is a particularly magnificent example of European Victorian heart jewellery and would be a great addition to any double heart collector's collection.

It measures 27mm x 28.5mm height, and weighs 10.52 grams.
