18K Victorian Diamond Violet Flower White & Yellow Enamel Ring Set (Pair)

A gorgeous set of two Victorian c.1890-1900 diamond violet flower white & yellow enamel rings, modelled in 18k gold.

The flowers, featuring the Viola canadensis (Canada Violet), are so beautifully detailed, with a mixture of yellow enamel on white enamel petals, further illustrated with details on the inner petals. It is all original and hand-painted, requiring a master enamalist to bring the piece to life. There is an old European cut diamond set in the middle of the violet of each ring, each approx. 0.30ct, with a total weight of 0.60ctw for the pair of rings.

The Canada white violet is a bloom of quiet strength and tenderness. Symbolizing innocence and purity, it carries the softness of first affections and the grace of modesty and humility.

A tiny wildflower, it grows in shaded places near streams and riversides. No more than a centimeter in size, its heart brushed with yellow and veined with bluish-purple striping. Within its simplicity, it also speaks of loyalty in love, affection between kindred spirits, and the gentle bonds of friendship. To wear the violet is to carry with you a token of devotion. A flower that has long stood for faithfulness of heart and the beauty of love in its most sincere form.

The enamel is in perfect condition with no wear to the enamel.

It was a set of Victorian earrings that has been masterfully converted into a pair of rings on 18k gold bands. They are amazing matching twin rings that are perfect for family and best friends etc. One for you and another for a loved one.

The ring face measures 14.5mm x 15mm height, and weighs 3.04 grams each.

It is a US 7 and sizable.
