14K Swiss Victorian Vulcain Diamond & Guilloche Enamel Pocket Watch Necklace Chain

An exquisite and breathtaking Victorian c.1900 guilloche enamel and diamond pocket watch with necklace chain, modelled in 14k gold and hallmarked '14k' and '585'. It is made by the Swiss luxury watchmaker Vulcain, founded in 1858.

It is set with sparkly rose cut diamonds approx. 0.25ctw by spread in the middle, resembling a flower cluster. The enamel work is further decorated with five flower white enamel petals in contrast to the blue guilloche enamel background.

There are further designs of hearts and flowers in Art Nouveau patterns in the enamel work, truly a remarkable piece!

The watch comes accompanied with its original enamel necklace chain, measuring 24" in length. It also has its original dog clip with a fleur de lis panel on top.

What is very special about this watch is that the necklace chain is completely removable - which is not always the case in pendant watches. Some pendant watches are attached to the pocket watch, with this piece it is completely removable and can be used interchangeably with other pendants or lockets or charms!

The pocket watch measures 29mm across, and weighs 17.87 grams; The chain weighs 14.40 grams, with a total weight of 32.27 grams.

It is in running and working condition.

This would be wonderful heirloom addition to a watch lover's collection.
