18K French Victorian Diamond & Ruby Snake Slider-Brooch

A French c.1880-1900, snake brooch + slider in platinum and 18k gold, hallmarked. The snake is set with rose cut diamonds and garnets. In addition to being a brooch, a fine chain can be strung through a gap at the snake’s head and arch of its body to be worn as a “slider”, as it was intended to be in its original design. Measuring 41mm x 15mm long.
