An outstanding Victorian c.1890-1900 diamond and sapphire star crescent modelled in 18k gold and silver.

The crescent is an exceptional and unique design featuring a triple row crescent flanked with old mine cut diamonds on the outer row, cornflower blue sapphires on the middle row, and rose cut diamonds on the inner row. It is further set with a centre diamond star that is truly captivating and eye catching. The diamond star has a sparkly pinched collet set old mine cut diamond in the middle approx. 0.60ct, surrounded by dazzling rose cut diamonds. There are approx. 4.55ct diamonds by spread, 3.45ct sapphires, with a total weight of 8.00ctw.

The brooch has a safety lever clasp which provides added security. It opens and closes well and the brooch is in excellent condition.

The crescent measures 38mm across, and the star measures 15mm across, and the brooch weighs 11.58 grams.
