18K French Victorian Diamond & Pearl Lady Portrait Brooch-Pendant

A gorgeous French Victorian c.1860-1870 lady portrait pendant-brooch crafted in 18k gold and hallmarked.

The portrait features an intricately and highly detailed painting of a lady with a sweet pink dress, with alternating pink & blue roses in her hair entwined with pink ribbons.

There is a glass cover protecting the miniature portrait beneath, and it is in excellent condition.

The frame is lovingly set with alternating old European cut diamonds and luscious pearls. There are approx. 0.60ctw by spread of diamonds.

In addition, a hidden bail has been expertly added to the reverse of the brooch, so that it may also be worn as a pendant. It is hallmarked with the French eagle head for 18k gold on the brooch pin, and the brooch pin opens and closes well.

It measures 31.5mm x 39.6mm with bail, 31.5mm x 31.5mm without bail, and weighs 10.49 grams.

The piece is offered in excellent condition, and would be a precious addition to any miniature portrait lover's collection.
