18K & Silver Georgian Diamond & Pearl Floral Lady Portrait Ring

A stunning and one of a kind Georgian c.1790 portrait ring, modelled in 18k gold & silver and set with rose cut diamonds approx. 0.60ctw by spread, and four pearls.

The portrait features a beautiful lady, with pink roses in her hair and baby blue silk ribbons draping down. She looks to the side and elegantly poses for her portrait to be painted. Her expression soft with a loving gaze.

The piece is wonderfully accompanied with a floral wreath halo around the portrait, set with rose cut diamonds and alternating pearls. It is increasingly rare to find a portrait piece with a "floral halo" these days - and this piece is in stunning excellent condition.

It was a stick pin that has been expertly converted into a ring by master jeweller Gaetano Chiavetta, specially made with a beautiful custom side gallery that curves to the shape of a finger, so it is extremely comfortable to wear.

The ring face measures 17mm x 21mm height, and including the halo 23mm x 26mm height.

It is a US 6.5 and sizable, and weighs 9.95 grams.
