18K & Silver Victorian Diamond Collet Set Flower Cluster Pendant
An exceptional Victorian c.1880-1890 collet set diamond flower pendant modelled in 18k gold and silver.
The flower pendant features a large tightly pinched closed back collet set center rose cut diamond, approx. 0.70ct by spread, with further rose cut diamonds surrounding the center resembling petals, with a total weight of 1.06ctw by spread.
The center diamond is particularly interesting as it is a double dutch rose cut diamond, which provides the diamond with more facets to reflect light, resulting in an even brilliant sparkle. The diamonds are bright and clear and the piece is in excellent condition.
It was made from an antique European brooch, sourced from the Netherlands, and has been masterfully converted into a wearable pendant.
It would be a staple classic that is a must-have in any collection that can be layered with other pieces or worn on its own.
It measures 12mm x 17mm with bail, 12mm x 12mm without bail, and weighs 2.67 grams.
Note: Please note that as the diamonds are foiled, it is advisable that the piece does not get wet or exposed to water. It can be gently cleaned by wiping it down with a wrung out damp cloth.
