18K Victorian Floral Blue Enamel Slider, Tassel & Locket Watch Chain Set 15" With 4" Drop

One of the most breathtaking and complete Victorian c.1860-1880 enamel watch chain set we have ever come across, modelled in 18k gold.

A superb and extremely high quality piece, the set consists of a watch chain necklace with two enamel sliders, an enamel locket, and a decorative tassel - all pieces original to each other as a set which is a rarity. Furthermore, all of the parts are expertly hand painted with exquisite double sided enamel work; where they have enamel work not just on one side, but on both sides. The edges are etched with hand engravings of floral and foliate motifs giving the piece further depth and dimension, truly spectacular! In addition, the enamel is all in top quality pristine condition with no wear to the enamel, another wonder to behold.

It is crafted in 18k gold with the most intense and bright buttery yellow gold, wonderfully contrasting the deep blue enamels. The enamel work features a bouquet of various flowers.

The sliders each measure 12.2mm x 16.1mm height, the tassel measures 8.5mm x 33.5mm height, and the locket measures 15.8mm x 22.1mm height. The locket opens and closes well, and the interior features two inner compartments with its original bezels and glass inserts.

The ends of the chain have a wonderful complementing repousse flower motif, showing that no detail was spared in the creation of this piece.

This is an exceptional set offered in excellent and pristine, collectible heirloom worthy condition, and we are so honoured to be able to offer it in our collection. It will be a very important addition to any antique jewellery enthusiast's collection.

It measures 15" long with a 4" drop, and weighs 44.27 grams.

Custom Project
We are able to offer a custom project to detach the locket and tassel to make them into seperate charms, as well as add two 18k gold spring ring clasps to the ends of the chain attachments where the locket and tassel was, so that it can be used to hang your own charms. This would cost an additional $250. Downtime for completion is approximately 8 weeks. Please Contact Us if you would like us to arrange this for you.
