A luxurious and phenomenal large size Victorian c.1890-1900 crowned heart diamond & amethyst brooch-pendant, modelled in 18k gold & silver.

It is set with an amethyst with a deep purple hue in the shape of a heart, approx. 17.76ct. The amethyst is surrounded by glistening tiny rose cut diamonds, topped off with a coronet crown on top, and two 3-point flowers on the sides, approx. 2.20ct by spread, with a total weight of 19.96ctw.

This crowned heart brooch-pendant is just out of this world and in excellent quality & condition. The brooch pin opens and closes well.

It is also a splendid size for Victorian heart jewellery, measuring at 30.5mm x 42.3mm height, truly a stunning and one of a kind piece.

The spectacular piece is complete with a pierced gallery profile, which is all fine by hand in the past with expert craftsmanship. The gemstones are open-backed, and it has a lever clasp that provides extra security.

We have added a hidden bail at the back in 18k gold so that the brooch can also be worn as a pendant, it is done masterfully and seamlessly.

This is a prime example of stunning workmanship from the Victorian era and certainly an heirloom quality piece that can be passed down for generations.

It weighs 9.79 grams.
