18K French Vintage Diamond & Lapis Lazuli Initial S Ring

A stunning French vintage c.1940-1945 diamond initial "S" ring, modelled in 18k gold, hallmarked.

It is set on an eye-catching lapis lazuli, that gently shimmers with gradients and speckles of blue, silver and gold, reflecting the natural grain and beauty of the lapis lazuli gemstone. It resembles the glittering stars in the night sky.

The initial "S" is set with sparkly rose cut diamonds approx. 0.20ct by spread, and the lapis lazuli 3.70ct, with a total weight of 3.90ctw.

The ring is set on a raised profile of strong and bold lines, resembling a 'tank ring' reminiscent of the Retro era. It is exceptionally well crafted, and is hallmarked with French eagle head and maker's mark on the outer band of the ring. This is an all original ring and not a conversion piece. A very remarkable example of French craftsmanship.

The ring face measures 18mm x 18mm height.

It is a US 4.75 and sizable (up to 2 sizes to a US 6.75), and weighs 12.14 grams.
