18K Dutch Georgian/Victorian Blue & White Enamel Repousse Ring

A stunning Dutch late Georgian to early Victorian c.1830-1840 blue and white enamel repousse ring modelled in 18k gold, hallmarked.

It features a gorgeous central plaque with blue and white enamel, followed by an empty gold space which can be engraved to your own initials or monogram. The borders and shoulders have delicate and fine repousse detailing. The repousse detailing would have been hammered by hand from the underside to create the impressions; A very remarkable feat requiring expert craftsmanship of the time.

It is hallmarked '750' with the Dutch cartouche on the inside of the band for 18k gold. It is an all original antique ring and not a conversion ring.

This is a stunning ring that is in excellent condition, and would make an amazing ring worn on its own or layered with other rings for a varied look. The style is classic and timeless.

It is a US 9.25 and sizable.

The ring face measures 13mm x 7.5mm height, and weighs 3.45 grams.
