14K Dutch Victorian Ruby Sword Jabot Pin

A stunning and versatile Dutch Victorian c.1870-1890, 14k gold and hallmarked, jabot pin sword with its original sheath, decorated with rubies approx. 0.20ct and intricate granulated beadwork.

It can be worn as a feature piece as a singular earring, as pictured in the gallery. When the sheath of the jabot pin is closed, it is secure and fastened and will not come loose.

The pin of the sword has a width thickness of 1mm, the same width thickness as a regular earring post. This allows it to be worn as a regular earring and you do not need a special piercing gauge thickness in order to wear this as a earring.

It can also be worn as a neck tie or collar pin, to give your outfit a little more personality. Additionally, it can be used as a shawl or scarf pin, by securing both sides of the scarf together.

The condition of the piece is in great condition, with beautiful articulated details on the sword's hilt. It opens and closes well, and comes complete with its original safety chain.

This sword measures 22.1mm x 79.3mm height and weighs 3.84 grams.

The piece is hallmarked with the Dutch oak leaf hallmark along with '585' on the pin for 14k gold and a wonderful example of Dutch craftsmanship of the Victorian era.

Note: It can be worn as a earring as the pin is 14k solid gold.
