14K Georgian Amethyst Crowned Lion "In God Is My Trust" Fob Pendant

An outstanding Georgian c.1820-1830 repousse gold & amethyst fob, crafted in 14k gold.

The fob has an imprint of a crowned lion, atop a three star banner with the motto, "In God Is My Trust" carved on amethyst, which would have been used for wax seals for letters and private correspondences.

It is extraordinarily constructed, with intricate repousse detailing all around the fob. The top of the fob features carved flowers and leaves, and the base of fob features ornate scrollwork.

This is a wonderful and meaningful piece in excellent condition and would make a fantastic addition to any fob collection.

It measures 25.3mm x 22.2mm x 36.6mm height, and weighs an impressive 15.63 grams.
