14K Victorian Diamond Bow Heart Vinaigrette Locket

A charming Victorian c.1890 puffy heart diamond locket charm, sealed with a diamond bow.

It is crafted in 14k gold, and set with chunky rose cut diamonds, approx. 5.85ctw by spread. The middle of the locket holds a large and significant pear shaped rose cut diamond, which is just beyond stunning!

The locket's reverse is a cut out scrolled foliate work, which reveals a vinaigrette locket used to store perfume soaked cotton balls or fabric, to act as a 'perfume' or 'scent' locket. The interior of the locket's left side has an in-built section where it can be used to affix a photograph.

It is surrounded by beautiful engraving work all around the heart locket, which adds to the beauty and charm of it.

The heart measures 20mm x 22mm height, the bow 18mm x 13mm height, with a total length of 42mm from top to bottom. It weighs 13.99 grams and is in excellent condition, and opens and closes well.

Note: Please note that as the diamonds are foiled, it is advisable that the piece does not get wet or exposed to water. It can be gently cleaned by wiping it down with a wrung out damp cloth.
