18K French Victorian Diamond & Onyx Ornate Flower Locket

A stunning French Victorian c.1860-1880, from the French Napoléon III empire locket modelled in 18k gold, hallmarked with the French eagle head.

It is set with the most beautiful flower bouquet design, with beautiful pearls and tiny rose cut diamonds approx. 0.32ctw by spread, that has a gentle and warm sparkle. Above the locket is a beautifully carved ornate frame in gold that complements the design of the flowers.

The front of the locket is onyx, and the reverse is gold. The interior of the locket features an inner glass cover that can be used to store mementos such as dried flowers or a photograph.

It is in great condition and is truly an heirloom worthy piece, beautifully thought-out and wonderfully constructed.

It measures 30mm x 56mm with bail, and 30mm x 46mm without bail, and weighs 20.91 grams.
