18K French Victorian Monogram AM/MA Enamel Pendant

A stunning French Victorian c.1870-1880 pendant surrounded by a frame of gorgeous alternating pearl and blue enamel, topped off with a bow at top and bottom of the frame.

When we found this pendant, the blue enamel was badly worn all over the frame, we have decided to expertly restore this pendant, taking into careful consideration to match the tone and details (antique integrity) of the piece. It looks absolutely gorgeous. 

The interior of the pendant is a monogram "AM/MA", in pierced gold applique with detailed engraving in an artistic monogram. Beneath the monogram is braided hairwork.

The back of the pendant has a hidden bail, hallmarked on the bail with the eagle head for 18k gold, French. The pendant is backed with mother of pearl on reverse.

It measures 32mm x 48mm height, and weighs 9.4 grams.
