18K French Victorian Monogram GL/LG Black Enamel Locket c.1854

A French, circa 1854 black enamel locket with gold initials “GL/LG”.

The back of the locket is inscribed in gold, and is dated “30 7BRE (7 for SEPTembre: September) 1854”.

The interior is an original glass door which can be used to store contents.

It measures 15mm x 30mm with bail, 15mm x 22mm without bail.
