18K Victorian Garnet, Blue & White Enamel Snake Dangle Earrings
A gorgeous and rare pair of Victorian c.1850-1860 garnet and enamel snake dangle earrings, modelled in 18k gold.
Each earring features a snake, beautifully detailed with blue and white enamel, set with most exquisite red garnets in its eyes and on its head, approx. 1.10ct. for each side, with a total weight of 2.20ctw for the pair.
This is one of the most beautiful and unique pair of enamel snake earrings we have ever come across, and it is certainly one of a kind. They are original antique earrings and are not conversions.
It measures 10.8mm x 43.5mm height, not including the earring wire, and the wire top to bottom drop is 50mm height, and it weighs 10.92 grams in total.
Note: Any marks seen on the pictures are from reflection & dust particles taken during photography. The earrings are in excellent condition with no wear to the enamel.
