Sold on Layaway | 14K Dutch Victorian Diamond, Ruby & Pearl Sword Brooch

$310

A stunning and exceptional Dutch Victorian c.1890-1900 sword brooch modelled in 14k gold and hallmarked, set with rose cut diamonds, ruby and pearls.

The sword's hilt is wonderfully decorated with a generous sprinkling of rose cut diamonds approx. 0.82ct by spread, topped off with a center ruby 0.30ct, with a total weight of 1.12ctw.

Luscious and shiny pearls decorate the sides of the sword's handle, and a decorative gold chain alternated with pearls suspends from the side of the sword. The sheath is expertly hand engraved with foliate acanthus leaves that really makes the sword stand out.

It is hallmarked '585' with the Dutch cartouche on the brooch pin for 14k gold, and the brooch opens and closes well with its original trombone clasp for added security. It was sourced from the Netherlands and is Dutch in origin.

It is also a lovely and large impressive size measuring 23.4mm x 74.8mm height, and weighs 8.46 grams.

This piece is in excellent pristine condition with all stones present, and is certainly a collector’s item. It can be dressed up or down, and would look great pinned against a blazer or coat.
