14K & Silver German Victorian Diamond, Pearl & Enamel Monogram MV/VM Brooch - Attributed to Princess Victoria Margaret of Prussia
A rare and impressive Victorian c.1900 green guilloche enamel crowned monogram "MV" or "VM" brooch, modelled in 14k gold & silver.
The monogram is set with tiny rose cut diamonds, along with diamonds and pearls surrounding the brooch. While enamel frames the bottom of the brooch in Art Nouveau appliques that complements the pearls perfectly.
A quick glance at the coronet above the monogram shows us that this is not a nobility crown, but a royal crown - specifically belonging to the 'Fürstenkrone' - for Princes and Princesses. It is very likely that this brooch is attributed to the Princess Victoria Margaret of Prussia.
On the reverse of the brooch, contains a locket compartment with a beige silk fabric that is sealed within the brooch.
