14K & Silver Victorian Diamond Dangling Star Crescent Pendant
A stunning Victorian c.1890-1900 star crescent, modelled in 14k & silver, and set with sparkling rose cut diamonds approx. 0.80ctw by spread.
The crescent's most adorable feature is that it has a dangling star in the middle of the crescent which dangles with movement, making it a very eye-catching and unique piece!
It was a Victorian brooch that has been converted masterfully into a wearable pendant. The dangling star is original to the crescent, as they came together on the brooch.
It is a gorgeous piece with a pierced open-work side gallery, and open-backed settings. This allows for more light to shine through the crescent, creating an even more glistening sparkle with the diamonds.
It is rare to come across such a lovely sized crescent of 20mm across, which is the perfect size for a crescent pendant for everyday wear. It is certainly a wonderful and versatile statement crescent that can be worn and matched with many looks and outfits on a daily basis.
It weighs 2.70 grams.
