14K Victorian Long Guard Chain with Enamel Clasp & Charm 57"

A gorgeous Victorian c.1870-1880 European long guard chain with intricate pierced links, each engraved with foliate detailing resembling leaves. The chain measures 57" in total length, with each individual link measuring 8mm x 4mm. The links are fine and delicately thin, and does not feel heavy when worn.

The chain clasp is very special with black and blue enamel details featuring a flower. In addition to the clasp, it also comes with its original pierced pendant in the shape of a crown on top of a star.

It can be worn doubled, tripled, or even wrapped up as a bracelet - a truly versatile piece at great value.

Note: The clasp is most likely a replacement and not original to the chain, but it is also an antique French piece dated to the same period as the chain.
