Sold on Layaway | 18K European Victorian Ruby & Emerald Swallow Crescent Pendant

A stunning and rare European Victorian c.1880-1900 ruby and emerald crescent swallow brooch, modelled in 18k gold.

It is absolutely gorgeous and set with approx. 2.04ct rubies, 1.25ct emeralds, with a total weight of 3.29ctw.

It was a brooch that was sourced from France, and has been masterfully converted into a wearable pendant that truly showcases its beauty.

It measures 55mm x 40mm height, and the crescent not including wing tips measures 45mm across, and it weighs 9.84 grams.

Note: The box and chain shown is for display purposes only and is not included in the listing.

There is a tiny surface ant-bite sized nick (not a crack) to one ruby on the crescent (14th from the right), this is very slight and not obviously noticeable. There are small antique solder marks on the edges that was done in antiquity during the Victorian era - it does not affect the function or integrity of the piece.
