These are a set of three first holy communion medals intricately decorated with fine details in solid gold. It is a form of antique traditional French jewellery to celebrate a child's first communion at twelve years old, and were often presented as gifts from parents to their child. This can range from rings and medal pendants, and from the 1920s onwards, pocket watches were also popular choices.
