18K & Platinum French Victorian Diamond & Emerald Snake Slider Brooch-Pendant
A French Victorian c.1880-1890 snake slider, that doubles up as a brooch. It is modelled in 18k gold and platinum, and hallmarked with the French eagle head. The body is set with rose cut diamonds totalling approx. 0.55ct by spread.
The snake's head is set with an emerald approx. 0.10ct. There is a fine gap underneath the snake's head which allows for a thin and fine chain to go through it, using the brooch as a pendant. It does not thread through the brooch pin, but a specific gap behind the snake's head where you can thread a fine chain through.
There are no modifications done to this piece and all parts are original.
