18K & Silver French Victorian Diamond, Onyx & Pearl Lady Cameo Bow Pendant (Masterpiece)

An absolute French Victorian masterpiece cameo c.1860-1880 modelled in 18k gold & silver, set with rose cut diamonds, onyx and pearls. It is hallmarked with French hallmarks.

It is certainly one of the most expressive hardstone cameos around, with the featured lady full of sadness and remembrance, a sense of longing that you can feel from her gaze. Her sharp chin pointing downward, and her hair softly grazing across her cheeks. The details of this piece is parallel to none.

The bail and frame is set with rose cut diamonds approx. 1.00ctw by spread, and a beautiful pearl surround. Additionally, the bail comes with a backing component which allows the bail to be removable. It is in pristine excellent condition.

It measures 36mm x 62mm with bail, 36mm x 52mm without bail and weighs 25.93 grams.
