18K & Silver Georgian Diamond Cross Pendant

A stunning Georgian c.1810 diamond across, modelled in 18k gold and silver, and set with tightly pinched collet setting rose cut diamonds, approx. 1.90ctw by spread.

Each diamond is in near pristine condition, with the foil behind it undamaged and clear. Additionally, the pinch collet settings holding each diamond seems to be in immaculate condition, and the cross pendant is very well preserved.

The pendant also comes with its original early Georgian era swivel system, where the bail connecting to the cross gently rocks back and forth ever so slightly. This type of bail is typical to the Georgian era, though it is rare to come across surviving pieces as the connecting parts are usually damaged or eroded over time, and they are often later replaced with connecting jump rings instead.

It measures 25mm x 41mm with bail, 25mm x 35mm without bail, and weighs 4.61 grams.

It is overall an excellent quality Georgian era cross that is in immaculate condition.

Note: Please note that as the diamonds are foiled, it is advisable that the piece does not get wet or exposed to water. It can be gently cleaned by wiping it down with a wrung out damp cloth.
