18K & Silver Victorian Diamond & Ruby Floral Crescent Pendant

A romantic and beautiful Victorian c.1880-1890, diamond & ruby floral crescent set with rose cut diamonds and rubies, modelled in 18k gold and silver. It is extremely unique as crescents of this variety are often found in set in sapphires and not rubies.

The rubies are all original to the piece and are not replacements. It was a brooch and has been converted into a wearable pendant. The crescent measures 35mm across without bail, and weighs 8.45 grams.

The rose cut diamonds are approx. 1.50ct by spread, and the rubies 0.80ct, total weight totalling 2.30ctw.
