18K & Silver Victorian Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald Butterfly Brooch-Pendant

A Victorian c.1890 butterfly brooch in such a stunning selection of gemstones in various colours in pink, red, green and blue. It is set in 18k gold and silver, with and open-back, which allows for more light to pass through for a dazzling and sparkling effect.

The butterfly is an important symbol in the Victorian era that represents change and renewal. The brooch has its original lever clasp which provides additional security so that the brooch catch will not come undone when worn.

Additionally, as the butterfly's antenna is joined together, it works as an excellent alternative for the brooch to be worn as a pendant by threading a chain through it.
