18K Swiss Victorian Longines Diamond Cherub & Fan Enamel Pocket Watch

A breathtaking Swiss Victorian c.1880-1890 Longines diamond cherubs & fan enamel pocket watch, crafted in 18k gold and hallmarked on the inner case.

The front of the watch features a beautiful and well painted enamel scene of two adorable cherubs sitting with a large fan spread in front of them. They are playfully looking at each other, surrounded by sweet forget-me-not flowers. The fan is decorated with striking blue enamel with rose patterns, and pink and light blue trims. It is also set with sparkly rose cut diamonds approx. 0.20ctw by spread. A truly delightful enamel artwork to look at! The enamel is all intact with no wear to the enamel.

The back of the watch is hand engraved with a lovely monogram "AC" or "CA". This would have certainly been a specially commissioned piece for a very special someone.

The watch face is clearly marked 'Longines' and it is in excellent condition. There is no wear to the enamel as it remains in pristine condition. The watch is in running and working condition.

The watch dial displays not only the minutes but also the seconds which is highly impressive.

The inside of the watch case is signed with "Longines", "Grand Diplome d´Honneur Anvers 1885. Medaille d'Or 1878", along with 'K18' for 18k gold.

This is a highly collectible, must-have heirloom worthy piece for watch collectors that is in remarkable quality.
