Sold on Layaway | 18K Victorian Diamond Coronet Crown Monogram EW/WE Pendant
A stunning Victorian c.1890-1900 diamond coronet crown monogram "EW/WE" pendant, modelled in 18k gold.
It features a crowned motif of a 5 point coronet, signifying the title rank of Earl/Countess (English term), Count (European term)/Countess, and would have belonged to someone of nobility. Beneath the crown, features a gorgeous stylised monogram set with rose cut diamonds, of "EW/WE".
The rose cut diamonds are sparkly and dainty approx. 0.51ctw by spread. All stones are present with no missing stones.
It was a brooch that has been masterfully converted into a wearable pendant.
It measures 13.5mm x 26.5mm with bail, 13.5mm x 18.5mm without bail and weighs 2.85 grams.
A wonderful example of a nobility monogram piece, offered in excellent condition. This antique pendant would make a fine heirloom worthy piece which is an important part of history.
