18K Victorian Diamond Monogram DE/ED Enamel Star Locket

An elaborately detailed Victorian c.1870-1880, with an absolutely stunning enamel work of white, green and blue alternating enamels in the shape of a star.

The middle of the locket features a monogram "DE/ED", set with tiny rose cut diamonds approx. 0.15ctw by spread, atop a blue guilloche enamel background.

The entire locket is engraved with machine turned detailing with fine patterns. Both the bail of the locket and edges of it are not plain gold, but with elaborate depth and grooves from the engravings.

It is a truly stunning locket!

The interior of the locket opens up to reveal a photograph of 3 children in Victorian clothing, original to the piece. It also retains its original glass cover and bezel.

It measures 25mm across, and 33mm height with bail, and weighs 13.33 grams.

Note: The photograph may be removed and stored safely in a separate bag for storage, so you may use your own photograph/portrait with this locket.
