9K & Silver Victorian Diamond & Bristol Blue Glass Double Heart Brooch

A rare and beautiful Victorian c.1880-1890 double heart bristol blue glass brooch, crafted in 9k gold and silver and set with rose cut diamonds.

The brooch is in a navette shape with a center bristol blue glass, featuring a double hearts motif. The double hearts motif and frame is surrounded by sparkly rose cut diamonds approx. 1.06ctw by spread.

It is offered in excellent and original condition, with all stones present. The bristol blue glass is also in good condition with no cracks. The brooch opens and closes well.

This would make a wonderful addition for collectors who may have a bristol blue glass pendant or ring, and the brooch would make a beautiful match to complete the set. It can be worn pinned on a shirt collar, on a shawl or even at the edge of a sleeve, or pinned on a velvet ribbon to be worn as a choker necklace or bracelet.

It measures 38.3mm x 13.5mm height, and weighs 5.62 grams.

Note: Please note that as the diamonds are foiled, it is advisable that the piece does not get wet or exposed to water. It can be gently cleaned by wiping it down with a wrung out damp cloth.
