18K & Silver Victorian Diamond Crescent c.1874

A spectacular Victorian c.1880-1890 diamond crescent crafted in 18k & silver. It is a large size, with triple row of rose cut diamonds approx. 1.40ctw by spread, further accented by a fourth row of diamonds in a semi-scalloped edge.

It is a beautiful design with sparkling diamonds that sparkle brightly, with open-backed settings. The reverse reveals a hand-carved engraving with the date '1874', which dates this piece c.1874. A real hidden nugget!

It was a brooch and was found with the pin already detached.

It measures 38mm across and weighs 7.03 grams.
